Laganja Estranja is a choreographer, drag queen, and activist based in Los Angeles, CA. After earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance and choreography from the California Institute of the Arts, Laganja appeared as a contestant on LogoTV’s Season 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Laganja headlined in Europe, walked in the Melange Brazil Fashion Show in Rio de Janeiro, and was the first RPDR queen to visit Peru.

Laganja is a rap artist with four released singles, and a featured artist on several albums. Pitchfork named her as one of the best music artists to emerge from RuPaul’s Drag Race. Jay’s jewelry line “Laganja Estranja is My Enemy” by CHRISHABANA can be purchased at Round2LA, and his puppy cannabis clothing line “Puffin’ Pups” was featured in the New York Times.

Laganja’s choreography credits include commercial artists Miley Cyrus and Brooke Candy, but he also sets work with dance studios and competition dancers. In 2016 she created #LaganjasDanceSchool, an international traveling dance program and confidence workshop which has held class in Manchester, Nottingham, North Hollywood, London, Newcastle, Dublin, Lima, San Francisco, Mexico City, Amsterdam, and Austin.

Laganja also appeared as a contortionist along side Christina Aguilera for the American Music Awards, in Austin Young’s “Tranimal Workshop,” in Gareth Pugh’s fashion film “PITTI.”
